In the fall of 2023, East West Players invited six artists to write their own solo projects to be performed on March 3, 2024 in Los Angeles. 

The piece I wrote tackles themes of shame, filial piety and grace. I was able to infuse my multilingual and multidialectal skills into the story, utilizing three languages and three accents.

This solo show was then brought to London in fall 2024 with a few changes including a change in title: Lipstick doesn't make you pretty. and two additional languages: German and Japanese.

Synopsis: Knowing nothing about it but feeling like her own life is out of reach, a young woman participates in a new age mental health treatment and is required to face certain memories keeping her stuck in the past.
